Empty-ish series file prevent helper complete
With seahorse !402 (merged) i noticed that when there is an (allegedly) empty series file (no really empty as seen with hexdump -C)
$ cat debian/patches/series | hexdump -C
00000000 0a |.|
00000001
Which seems to be the case when,
echo "" > debian/patches/series
is used.
This prevents the helper to complete and build the package.
Here my quick approach to prevent this,
# Prevent empty series file make the helper build fail
if [ $(find debian/patches -maxdepth 1 -type f | wc -l) = 1 ]; then
rm debian/patches/series
fi
A true empty series file will not prevent the build, maybe it can be improved to;
# Prevent empty series file make the helper build fail
if [ $(find debian/patches -maxdepth 1 -type f | wc -l) = 1 ]; then
rm debian/patches/series
touch debian/patches/series
fi
To keep the source structure of the package. @ruben any suggestion?
